Yes it's silly. But not as silly as the fact conservatives seem unable to grasp why abortion is morally licit:
The reason abortion is not murder is because A FOETUS IS NOT A PERSON.
A foetus has none of the qualities that make you or I conscious, self-aware, responsive human beings. Therefore, the destruction of a foetus is not the destruction of a human person.

Don't like some of the answers especially the one saying you may have a kid who does things you disapprove of. That is like saying it is always the parents fault. If you raise your kids to know the diferrence between right and wrong they will be a lot less likely to do things like have an abortion etc. That does not however mean that if the child does evil things it is somehow the parents fault which is what the answerer suggests.

No i think the point was, choose your terminology better when arguing the case for an elective abortion being murder.

Your example of shooting potential, possible, pre-heart attack victims in the head is an excellent analogy to the argument given for the reason abortion isn't always murder.

Abortion, however, is always the end of ones life - be it murder or otherwise.

sweetie, we are destined to be the people we judge,,,, if not us our children,,,,,, get off this kick or life will kick you in the teeth,,,, this is just friendly advice from me,,,,,

maybe i should put it more simply..... your children or grandchildren,,, someone that is close to you,,,, will have a magnetic pull towards doing the exact thing you judge as evil.....

also if you hate gays,,,, same thing,,,, ready for a gay kid yet? or you can stop judgment and dissolve the magnet,,,,,,
