Submission to God is the cure to misery,
If He made this world, you cant be at peace by working against his system.
So, best of luck and I hope all goes well for you.

You are a very active young person and have a lot of positives going for you.
This time of year can be difficult for the most positive of us because it is the end of winter with little opportunity to be out in the sunshine, recharging our batteries. Try to get outdoors and to get some exercise.
When you least feel like doing it, you need it the most.
Thank you for planning a trip to Mexico in the summer - that is a wonderful gift you will give others. But take care of yourself so that you can help others.

To begin with quit feeling sorry for yourself. There are thousands of people who wish they had it half or even a tenth as good as you. All you have to complain about are little petty things that don't amount to a hill of beans. Maybe you wouldn't feel so emotionally drained if you went down to the store in the morning with your mother and got busy and swept and mopped and started doing some dusting. It would take your mind off your imaginary problems and I am sure your mother would appreciate the help.

Depression is a real medical condition...no different from having high blood pressure. And if you have high blood pressure, you'd take a pill for that and no one would think twice about it...then if depressed, you should take medication for that too. It can make a world of difference.
Depression can be an overwhelming disease. It not only manifests itselt but can also rear it's ugly head physcially.
It's something to take seriously,. Perhaps you should talk to someone...your parents..perhaps an advisor or counselor at school. Medication is not always warranted, but talking about your problems is.
If you have a seratonin imbalance--which prompts depression, you HAVE to take medication--no getting around that. And not even going to Mexico to help poor people (as great and charitable as that is) will make you feel better.
Good luck.

I am so sorry you lost your grandmother, I wish you could have attended the funeral with your dad to tell her good-bye, but remember, she is still with you in spirit, she will never leave you, so please, don't feel guilty about not going, she knows exactly what is happening in your life. Life goes on and if your mom needs help in the store, it is your place to help her. Depression is a diease that is affecting more and more young people nowadays,.You enjoy helping people? Like doing Habitat for Humanity? I am sure there is probably one in your area, if not, there are a lot of elderly people who can't do simple yard work or cleaning out their garages, or cleaning out gutters, etc. They would so appreciate help from a honest young man, and they will pay for your services. In your familys store, you could put a sign up promoting your services and earn extra money. The most effective medicine against depression is movement. You have to keep your mind active and your body going. Try taking walks or running, that gets rids of a lot of anxiety and tension and builds your metabolism up. You sound like a good kid, I hope you take our suggestions to heart, and let us know how you are doing. God Bless you and your family in the time of your sorrow.

Huh, I feel lonely and depressed to sometimes. I sometimes feel tired and that the world is against me. Although you have to keep the faith! I think you should take this spring break to really enjoy yourself..don't let anything be on your mind. Maybe you should tell someone at home.(an adult, friend, sibling, ect.,) someone you can let all your worry out to. Depression has to be dealt with or it could get worst. Maybe you should even thinking about scheduling a meeting with a counsler. I hope you look foward to your trip, who knows it may even get your mind off of your depression! Anyways I hope you have a great week, be encouraged, bye!

Well it sounds like you have been cooped up studying to much... In short you have "cabin fever". The cure go out and play basketball with your friends. Or you could go out on a walk with your dog or even by yourself. That usually helps. You say your emotionaly drained well whos draining you emotionaly? A parent, a girlfriend, If so avoid them for a couple of days and just try to find yourself and what you like to do. Play music write a song. It doesn't matter if you cant carry a tune get out there and express yourself. I know this sounds like a disney channel thingy but trust me expressing yourself or venting your feelings is the best way to get a fresh slaight to get emotionaly filled.

So long as your depression has not reached a grievious state, there are several things you can do. Try to see things through a positive aspect. Get out and do something. Get involved with people. Avoid spending time alone as much as possible, even though you may not feel like it. Also, remember some depression passes with time. I don't know your beliefs, but God is there to listen, if you take time to pray.

I've dealt with depression too. try finding an outlet like writing, music, art, something which helps a lot. you've had some issues (death of a family member, childish friend) that suck and are sometimes hard. Winter is had for everyone and i think sometimes those who have depression suffer a bit with SAD (seasonal affective depression)
hang in there. a symtom of depression is withdrawl so everything sucks right now.

The best thing I recomend is to spend time with family and friends. Arrange a date with them. Go out to the park, movies, eat, picnic, zoo, anywhere where you feel free. Also you want to get out to get some fresh air. I say you try to go to the park. Is good to be surrounded by nature, dude. It can set your mind free. I hope this helps you. Good Luck and Peace!
