Good job! Now you get it.
Rudy is pro-choice. That's going to hurt him with the religious right.
I also think Americans distrust New Yorkers. By that I mean I think main-stream Americans find New York life, and experiences, hard to relate to. And, considering that Red States are primary rural, often mid-western, I think this association will hurt him as well.
And regardless of the exact opposite public perception, I watched Giuliani on 911, and I thought he looked very rattled. He did NOT inspire confidence, in my opinion.
On the plus side, he is a true capitalist, a believer in the trickle-down effect, a Reagan Republican.
But I'm not so sure he comes across sincerely on a lot of issues, aside from his economic theories.
And his personal life problems (Mistress and divorce) are also going to hurt him with the Right.
I think McCain looks better on paper. But, frankly, he may be just too dang old.

In general, yes he's qualified. Being NYC mayor is one of the toughest jobs in all of government, despite the fact that it's not a federal position. If he had been mayor of say...Spokane, then the obvious answer would be no. Rudy also demonstrated that he's his own man by crossing the isle to endorse Cuomo in '94. There's no basis to suggest he'd be a pawn. Problem solving is the foundation of good governing, and he has a great number of skills in that area, as shown by the sharp reduction in crime and overall improvement in the quality of life. He clearly has an high opinion of himself, and that has caused problems, but nothing along the lines of a real scandal, just too much personal noise. Is he worth voting for, yes...if that's where your support lies, but he's bigger than 9-11...one day does not make a man.

Anyone who meets the criteria set out by the US Constitution, is qualified!
"No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."
Anyone who votes Republican is lacking grey matter! Bush, and those who voted for him proved that, thanks to the US Supreme Court!

Rudy Guliani was not 100% good mayor. Race relations in NYC were at an all time low during his admnistration.
I think Guliani would be a good president. He is certainly competent and he is tough on crime.
He is not very pragmatic, though.

Guiliani does not meet my qualifications for President of the United States.
He is a blood sucking liberal in disguise.
McCain is almost as bad.
Guiliani is pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, and has no real solution for illegal immigration.
Ron Paul has a great answer for all these issues.
So does Tancredo.
Guiliani is the ultimate neo-con. "Don't be fooled again" is right, my friend.

He wasn't even a good mayor. Count how many times he mentions 911, if you can.

Prior to September 11th, Guiliani couldn't get the nod from the public to run a fruit stand. He's so out of touch it's pathetic!! I truly love his handling of the pile that contained the bodies of Dead firefighter's--had to get to that gold!!
Your wanna run around with that (R) in front of your name--your going nowhere--plain and simple.

No, I think not. He divides people.
He does not bring them together. He lies and
he cheated on his wife. His reputation in NYC
was bad and his performance was worse.
He encouraged police to run amok and kill people.
The USA will invade Iran if he is elected.

No..... not even close. His greatest achievement was watching the twin towers fall. He kept emergency services at a building that terrorists were targeting. Not too bright.
