Are you in the same country or town or are you someplace very different? Do you like it or is it time to move on?

One year and six months in this new place. I have lived in two other places (cities) in the same country where I'm living now. It's nice to stay here for the moment because your basic support system - family and friends - are here.

But I think it's time to move on. To look for another niche in another place where the stimulus may be different and where you get to meet a different batch of friends, peers and neighbors. Getting out of your comfort zone is a good way to test your survival instinct. Isn't it?

grew up in a small town about an hour and 1/2 from where i have lived for the past 4 years.. but a lot of people from my old town, including my family, have also moved here so its almost like still being there.. although now there are things to do where i live

i think everyone should move away from where they grew up, at least for a little while.. builds character

I sorta moved back and forth. I was born here but then went back to China when i was 7 months old and stayed there for a while. When I came back, everything was so different from what I knew and then I got used to things and I still go back to China on annual visits. Switching back and forth between countries, it's fun =]

I was born and raised in Baton Rouge and in August my husband and I moved to a small town about an hour away. It's in another parish (Louisiana doesn't have counties) and it's not bad. It's a little out in the boonies.
