That's just life for a lot of people - but I'm sure you'll feel better and better as the years go by. You can use those days you feel so bad to think of and work on ways to improve yourself physically and mentally and spiritually and little by little you will get over your self consciousness. Try transferring your consciousness to other things!

Ask yourself where that low self esteem came from. I tend to think it has a lot to do with your upbringing. It did for me.

My father would say things like,"What do you want to think THAT for?" ...........WHAT???? My thoughts are bad? They just pop in my head! I can't help that! My mother would be "kind" enough to tell me that some particular outfit doesn't look good on me because my hind end is too big! I weighed only 130 pounds in my senior year of high school, but she kept hounding me to lose weight! I looked healthy, but that wasn't good enough. And the list could go on forever.

I don't totally blame my parents; they were just doing the best they could based on the famous Dr.Spock's book on babies.

The thing for you to remember is that you are NOT your parents or whoever left all those doubts in your mind. You are just as good as anyone else! Remember that! Hold your head up high and learn to have confidense in yourself. Be yourself! If you try to be someone else, like trying to keep up with others who have the money for the latest fashions, you'll only end up disappointed. No one can be exactly like another.

Just BE YOU! And remember, no one will bite you. If they compliment you on something, all you have to do is say, "Thank you." Maybe if enough people are saying the same good things, it will convince you that they aren't all lying!

Get over it...

We all feel that way, even people who don't admit to it. I probably have lower self esteem than you, but I atleast I know I'm not as ugly as I think I am. There's a difference in how you think you look and how you actually look.
