I bring my lecture files from class' computer in my USB disk. Every time I get it in my computer, I run Norton Antivirus scan check & always there are Trojans & viruses detection. So the main problem is with the class computer, which has no Antivirus software. But is there any idea or any software available that I can prevent those viruses & trojans entering my USB disk? Any solutions apart from scanning?

Too bad you don't have a laptop of your own to use at the school....The school is stupid not to protect their systems...you could raise foot at them about it because it is malicious software activity that can ruin their own computers!!

I don't know if this would work or not, depending on your storage capacity on your jumpdrive (USB Disk), maybe install a copy of an anti-viral software onto it?

There is an anti viral software out there that wouldn't take much space as compared to Norton, and its free....try it and see if you can upload it to the computer at school (if you use the same one all the time)

download AVG 7.5...it's free! Also highly recommended by editor and staff of PC Magazine....Good Luck!

There is free software for the pc at school. AVG and AVAST are both free. There is NO reason anyone or any pc should be without anti-virus software.

Also, there is software antivirus you can now run from usb! But the usb must be a usb U3 type.

I think that the dirty class computer needs to be cleaned before you hook up to it, or use read only disks to transfer your material. Why shop around for a bullet-proof vest, when all you have to do is disarm the bad guy?
