I am an R.N.-----and work in Intensive Care----yes I would go on in and do my 12 hour shift and stay beyond if not relieved because I would want to spend my last moments praising God and helping others to enter the Kingdom of God.

I feel that if the world would end in 36 hours maybe the doctors would still go to work because in a matter like that we need them for emergencies doctors are like gods they make miracles.

Maybe people in emergency services if they were truly dedicated?
But I don't see why emergencies would matter anymore than regular situations if the world was going to end.
I think people would probably start doing all the stuff they always wanted to. Like travel to some place. But then that wouldn't work either because airplane crews wouldn't show up :)
So I guess the answer is no.

no I wouldn't. I would want to spend the time left with my family. However, if like most people on here, the world would be in total chaos. There would be no one to work power plants, or gas stations and such. So the nuclear power plants would over heat and the world would end sooner. Hey we wouldn't even have power for our beloved Internet! The best place to be would be in a place that doesn't depend on any of our modern conveniences!

Some people with dedication and jobs that are essential to a society.
I teach English in Korea and if the world were ending learning new vocabulary so maybe you can get a better TOIEC score makes no sense.
Moreover, this job treats me terribly so I have no incentive to work more when I'm about to die.

if i was a cop or a doctor, probably, but limited hours, i would want to spend my last hours with my family.
at my current job, i just wouldn't go in at all- who would call an anti-virus company worrying about their computer when the world was ending?

I'm sure the religious leaders would REALLY go to work. Otherwise, why bother? Life is almost over, let's enjoy or prepare or do what you feel is right! I'd try to have at least some sex before I went out, and just have fun.

i think the only people who will still go to work are the journalists, anchorman or anchorwoman and radio DJ coz they still need to inform the world what's happening. Other than that, maybe the president and his aides and the military forces or even the astronauts in space!!

Of course not..
I know my brother will kill and operate all the frogs in his collection, he is just too eager in becoming a doctor..
And I will pray a lot and try to book a ticket to Heaven
