As of this point in time my canidate is barak obama, i have saw him speak in person and even shook his hand. I think he is just what americans need to start to change this counrty for the better, although I think anything would be better than the joke we have now.

Obama is a great man. It is so sad how everyone instantly turns it into being a race issue. Why can't we talk about the real issues and how people really feel and what they'll do? Get off the whole damn race issue, please!

I would like to clarify a point. A friend of mine said Obama is a Muslim. I have done some research and I find that he is a man of faith, yes, albeit a Christian. I am not suggesting that were he a Muslim that would be a bad thing, altho I would suggest that it might, at this juncture in time, not necessarily bode well for winning a Presidential election. The links below are video of his speech in Selma recently commemorating the event they call Black Sunday. The 3rd link is to an article dissecting the false myth that Obama is a Muslim.

I'll have to wait and see. Several point to the exception to the rule, like Reagan=actor, GW=Governor, bankrupt business man. Pundants think we need a politician. I believe we need lots of people that don't have experience. One breath of fresh air just makes the feed lot smell worse. How about the winds of change? Maybe by Labor Day, when the sharks are done feeding on each other, maybe Al Gore will step in and give the voters what they voted for!

He still is a young chicken and has a lot to learn before I can feel comfortable about him tackling chaos in America and the world. I want my President to be capable of acting fast and thinking right during emergencies - and not be sitting around like starry-eyed Bush who continued to grope onto his "My Pet Goat" book during 9/11, only to appear so lost while waiting for others to tell him what to do .

I really like Obama, I do. I think he is very charismatic and has a lot of energy. Unfortunately, I think our country needs someone who has more experience right now- Obama has a lot of energy and ideas and charisma, but with only two years experience in the Senate, I think he's too young and inexperienced to be president right now. In 2012 or 2016, though, I'm all for him.
