hit alt-key and type in 165 then release. but really you may have to increment your number to 166 and on as i have lost memory or file of the ascii codes. practice on notepad or word. or maybe u can have access to the character map - not to copy or paste but to estimate and finally zero in on the alt-number

ctrl key + ' key (the one with the ' & " next to your enter key on the right). then push the letter o. this will work for putting an accent on any letter.
