i suppoose i should feel bad for those who hold a grudge against those of other skin color.

but when you think about how skin color even comes to be, don't you get a little angry that some refuse to see the light? and as for those who like throwing the "n" word around, if your great grandmother had been owned by someone, wouldn't you be a little angry too?

i work at a place that does not hire people of other "color" i'm in the process of doing something about that.

what are your views - be honest....this is only my opinion.

I totally agree with everything you said, except the part about the great grandmother. Certainly. if that were true of my great grandmother, I'd be very sad, but too often, I think, I've been blamed for what generations before me did. I wish you all the luck in the world about your plans for where you work. There is so much hostility in the world; if it isn't racism, it's religion, or politics or anything people like to vent about. I have friends of every religion, political persuasion & colour, too. It makes life a very rich fabric! Again, good luck!

Not really. I think modern day racism is primarily about power and control, not people actually believing that those of other colors are inferior or not human. Many prominent racists have been quite intelligent and well-educated--they simply wanted fame and the ability to control others through fear.
Slavery has been around ever since humans decided having someone else do their work for them was better. It wasn't limited to whites owning blacks in America. Many tribes in Africa (at the time of the slave trade) owned both black and white slaves, and often sold other tribesmen to the slavers. So why not be just as angry at them? Or better yet, why not say it was a long time ago, we are all sorry it happened, get over it. I mean, are the decendants of the Salem Witch trials still up in arms? Do Jews still rabidly hate Catholics? People need to stop being so sensitive. We can't change the past and carrying this hate into the future only ensures that the future will be bad too.

i think that everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion. that doesn't mean that i accept the racist's fears about another's colors. i live my life as a color-blind person.

No, but I do think that forgiving is evolutionary!
