I have had secerians before but I never get use to the sergery procedure. The scariest part is the spinal tap. OMG. This is the last child cause there is a tubaligation after delivery. Anything that might help the fear for tomorrow morning?

Plus how would you spell the name for a girl Summer? Is is the way it sounds or the way we spell the summer time? Anyways thanks for any feed back.

Yes, the name Summer and the season are spelled the same...unless you want to get creative.

As for the C-section, I had one 7 months ago and I had my mother in there with me. All went well, the tap isn't that hard...like haveing yoru blood drawn from you back.

Just remember that you are being taken care of by medical professionals. You can't be too worried, people give birth without a hitch every day! I have "been there" for 5 child births (friends and family) and they all wish they had gotten C-sections! The spinal tap is scary, but the last birth I went to, the girl turned over with the needle still in her spine, and she was fine. But I don't think you should be nervous at all. You've done it before, and it gets better every time, or so they say. Good luck with your new addition to the family. Oh and BTW it is most commonly spelled "Summer", like the season :)

I wish you well tomorrow. Unfortunately it is never easy to face surgery. Having had both planned and unplanned surgery I think it is almost easier to have unplanned surgery- less time to stress. However it sounds like you have been through this before and did OK. Did you ever take any natural child birth classes? Sometimes just using the breathing and relaxation exercises will help you to relax and fall asleep. That may help tonight and tomorrow nurses can help you. And remember just because you are getting a epidural for pain usually doesn't mean you can't have something for pain before they do that. Just ask! Unfortunately you may not sleep well tonight- probably a combination of being scared, anxious and a bit excited too? Believe it or not warm milk really is suppose to help you relax and to sleep. Or try to get comfortable and think about relaxing your body, starting from the toes up. Sometimes I find myself falling asleep before I get to my waist. You can try to relax your body or try contracting and then relaxing your muscles if you feel like you can't just relax them. As far as the name Summer- I don't really know. I guess just like you did. Although I kind of remember a different spelling. Maybe you could google baby names and check. Good Luck and by this time tomorrow you will have a new baby girl. Then you won't have to worry about sleeping for awhile- it seems newborns just don't want us to rest!

Don't worry.
Been there done that.
I was scared of the spinal thing too. OH it was so fast and easy it was amazing. The pain was gone and the C Section went so fast, the next thing I knew my baby was in my arms.
NO WORRIES. Trust in God. You are blessed so is the baby.
As a Mom, I will say a prayer for you.

Summer is a lovely name. I have a friend named her little girl Summer Brooke Miller.

I went to school with two sisters, Summer June and April Maye... for real-they were Japanese.

Breathe. Deep, calming breaths. Practice relaxing your body, starting with your feet and working your way up your legs, body, arms. Imagine yourself floating on one of those inflatable rafts in a cool pool of water. Listen to some relaxing music. Some hospitals will even let you take a small cd or tape player or ipod with you into the delivery room. Try to relax and remember that it will soon be over and you will have your precious child with you. Summer is a lovely name, and yes, that's how you spell it. Just like the season. Good luck to you, and remember...breathe.

The best thing I can think of is get enough rest tonight and have your support person with you for as much of it as possible. I know it won't be the entire time but I know it helped me having my husband right there with me the "whole" time. Good luck and remember what the outcome will be, a beautiful little baby for you to love all over!

I think I would spell it just as you did, Summer.

Just think of holding your baby and how happy you are going to be.

I have a friend named Somer. I think thats a pretty way to spell it. But I also had a childhood friend that spelt her name Summer. So it just depends on what you like better.

Good luck and Congrats!!!

I'll be praying for your delivery and asking God to be right beside you all the way. Summer is a pretty name. I have a friend whose daughter is named that and she is a very beautiful girl. I'm sure yours will be too. God Bless

Pray and tell God all your fears and give it to Him. Try to relax as much as you can - be happy! Some people can't have children. Count your blessings and practice your breathing even if it's a caesarian. Enjoy this time of your life as it goes by fast and you can't go back.
