Okay, so since I was a baby, I have had a fear of heights. Not your normal heights, I mean everything from high ceilings, to malls. I am NOT afraid of the sky, I just don't know. This is so weird, and I want help NOW! Any suggestions?

It seems like you are saying you have a fear of high things above you rather than being up high.

It doesn't really matter. Phobias are irrational fears. Often they develop because we learn to use that thing we are afraid of, subconsciously, to stand in for the real fear.

I had a fear of not being in control. I expressed it as a fear of water. Mostly lakes and ponds, anything with fresh water, oceans to a strong but lesser degree, and pools only if I dived into deep water. Eventually I learned I was afraid of the ways in which the water represented a loss of control. The power of the ocean, the things living in lakes (leeches were a big, huge fear!), diving in deep and not being able to breathe.

Sometimes it's just a completely irrational fear. I still am afraid of spiders. They're just creepy and icky. Look at the way they walk!

See a therapist with a strong background in dealing with phobias.

First you will deal with the phobia. Your therapist will slowly take you through steps to help you deal with your fear in a way that helps you to still feel safe. Eventually you will no longer be afraid of high things (or heights).

Then, if need be, he or she will help you to identify and deal the underlying fear associated with it.
