I find it interesting that you phrased the question two different ways. My responses are different.
If given the chance to know all truth without any guarantee that I would understand it, I would probably refuse. It would be too great a burden to have important knowledge that was useless to me because of lack of understanding.
But if given the chance to understand all truth, I would accept without hesitation, though I see a potential snag in this formulation too. It's possible that the offer is malevolent because the understanding offered is somehow incomplete. But that's nitpicking.

Yes, but only to satisfy personal curiosity.
Wouldn't do much good in practical application. Everyone already has an opinion, some are valid, some aren't. My newly-gained truthful opinion would just be added to the pile of the billions of opinions already out there.
For example, let's say it's revealed to me that the Mormon version of God is the truth. Millions already believe that, so my opinion, even if divinely provided, is pretty watered down and not really any more powerful than the next person.

Yes i have to accept the truth whether i like it or not....
I believe that the truth will always come sooner or later. Even though, some of the truth are too hard to accept, i rather know it earlier, or else we will feel worse in later time.....
1st example:
would u like anyone to hold the truth from you for 10 years? .....After 10 years, you will feel depress by knowing the sad truth. At the same time, you might feel betray as well. Also, you will feel silly, stupid & more upset with yourself ....that will pile up your problems......won't you feel worse?
2nd example:
if you can choose to lose your memory, you will know that the happiness won't last.....you can be smiling everyday while recovering in the hospital, cuz you didn't remember any sad mishap that had happen to you. BUT, the moment you are awake, i guarantee that you will feel even worse. That's because....At one moment, you feel so great on top of the hill, & the next thing is, you are made to fall down from there.......i won't want to feel greater pain by falling harder
Besides, your love ones will be made to suffer. Will you feel happy by looking into their sad eyes everyday?
3rd example:
If you have a choice for not knowing the truth......you will be confuse for the rest of your life.....but the most impt thing is, you will never feel peaceful for life, for reluctantly accepting the truth that's next to you....... it's human nature to feel curious

I wouldn't do it. I'd certainly like to know more than I do now, but one of my greatest sources of pleasure and fulfillment is in learning. If there were nothing left for me to learn my life would have no hope of being as happy as it is. Also, a significant portion of the truths about the universe would be sad, horrific, disappointing, or infuriating. Even with all of the positive and neutral truths to accompany them, all of the atrocious ones would be an awful lot for any person to handle knowing.

great question!
in knowing that the truth can sometimes hurt oneself, i tend to be a little septic about that. the saying "out of sight, out of mind" is a saying i tend to believe in. i've been hurt in a relationship before, and knowing the truth created a great deal of change within me to try and never experience that hurt ever again. so rather than knowing the truth, if i don't see it then it isn't real, therefore its not in my head.
the truth hurts and in some cases its scary. and it would probably make me go crazy from all the shock i would go through finding out that aliens eat chinese food and strawberry ice cream. and dinosaurs knew aerobics and stuff. however, if i can choose the truth that i wish to be known, maybe i would take it.
i hope you choose the right one.

Truths or truth? Truths, yes, as an additive, just as it is, so that gain is possible; Truth on the other hand is impossible, if it were possible, it would have been impossible to ever be ignorant to begin with, and only the All-Inclusive Truth has that quality, freedom from ignorance.
God bless

I was given the chance and I took it. The problem is, no one believes the truth when I tell them. So the bottom line is, it is no better to know the truth than not to.
Same problem Jesus had. He spoke truths. How did he get treated for it . They crucified him.

This reminds me of the story of Pandora's box, where she released all the suffering onto the world, but managed to close the box before hopelessness escaped. You can indeed know too much.

as quickly as i be responsive to somebody is attempting to disguise the reality I already be responsive to, I play dumb and that i make such questions as to "lead" them in telling me the reality themselves. i think somewhat awkward telling somebody they're mendacity unusual, yet i'm greater ashamed than they might desire to be for mendacity! lol i could particularly have THEM tell me the reality. in the event that they don't, i could or will possibly not tell them I knew the reality from the initiating , counting on situations. nonetheless, not something will ever be the comparable. I trust you, Venus.

Yes,There was a point in my life were i would of said no, because i believed that ignorance was bliss, and still do.But it is my personal goal to become perfect( as perfect as my potential, will get me) and that would not leave me much of an option to be ignorant.
