Clomid is to stimulate ovulation. Requirements would be proof that you are not ovulating. The only way to get that is to be charting and take your charts into your Dr. From there they will look at possibly doing some hormone tests, checking your husbands sperm levels etc....

Have you been charting, you need to be monitoring your cervical position, cervical fluids and temperatures. If you need more information on this, feel free to email me and I can get some to you.

Good luck

Clomid has been on the market for at least 23 years. I concieved my first child while taking clomid and she is 22 years old. I had been trying over 2 years before I went to the doctor. After I went the first thing was to test my husband's sperm count. When it was OK, the next step was to test me to see if I was ovulating.... biopsies, temperature checks, etc. When I was, the next step to was to see if my tubes were blocked.. (they pass gas through you... very painful if tubes are not blocked.) It appeared that I was ovulating, actually every month, with no other problems... but after about 8 months of testing, my doctor perscribed Clomid. It was very, very expensive. My insurance did not pay for it. I first took 1 per day for 5 days. Blood work followed this very frequently. After 2 months, I was taken off for a month. Then on month 4, I was given 2 pills per day for 5 days. The clomid was making me very, very ill... in my head... I felt dizzy all the time and could not hold my head upright. But I wanted a BABY! After no positive results, for month 6 my physician increased the dosage to 5 pills per day for 5 days. The pharmacy was very reluctent to fill the perscription because it was not recommended by the manufacturer. I had to go to 2 pharmacies to get the medication. I was sooooo very sick but guess what..... IT WORKED! My chances increased for multiple births but I really did not mind. I am a very small woman weighing less than 100 lbs. and this was an overwhelming dosage.... but IT WORKED! I thought if I ever decided to have another child, I would have to go through this all over again... but I had a wonderful surprise when my oldest daughter was almost 3, I found out that I was pregnant again!!! The clomid worked for me and I hope it will work for you... you just have to be patient. I know it is hard to do, but God does have a plan for you! Good Luck!
