I want to learn more about cars, engines, customizations, just about everything. I have a friend that is a mechanic so he's going to start teaching me some things but I also want to do some reading. Does anyone know of any good books or magazines?
I want to learn about imports and also classic cars, thanks

Pick up a Basic Auto Repair Manual at your local Library.Although you may need more time to read it all.You should purchase this kind of manual.Although a book will help you some.EXPERIENCE is the best teacher.Although every car has its' basics, they are also very different as to how they are built.Todays cars also require you to know Electronics.So get a book on Basic Electricity too.
