is 'cheering over victories and thrashing over defeats' right

I think this is truly wrong . It happens everywhere but it is not a healthy sign. Cheering makes a player happy that is good but when we thrash them during defeats a player looses all his mental strength and ability and he finally ends up in doing foolish things like the Pakistani coach Bob Woolmer did.

If the cheering and thrashing is not present well, i would say we would not have thought about cricket after 1983. India would be playing qualifying matches like bermuda, scotland etc
Now a days, in india, very few concentrate on games and sports. I think cheering and thrashing is required to certain extent to generate interest to today's youngsters.

Its happens only in India
This is not the correct way to support the game.
If one father finds his son doing some wrong things then he should tell him the adverse effect and advise him not to repeat the same but definitely not going away from him.

But in case of indian cricket team its quite opposite.
Beside failure it conqured nothing and moreover its not learning anything from that failure
