Just need more experience, hence play more pickup games. Another thing that can help (which most NBA players do) is to listen to ur favourite music before the game (or going down to the courts). It helps u relax! Also most of the time u don't know the people around in pick up games, just treat everyone the same and play ur own game!

Just relax and try to fit in at first...dont try to take the game over... dont be too confident,.... take a step back and pass the ball around a bit... get an idea of how everyone plays... get an idea of what people do in certain situations...

play aggressive on defense is always the best way... show your oppenent your not a push-over on defense... get in their face... dont let them even get the ball.. that aggressivness on defense wil usually translate into better offense.. plus, your coach/teamates know that you take pride on every possession.. also, go after every rebound... remember...you dont have to score in order to not be afraid or make an impact.. just do all the little things... then your game will take over once your momentum carries you to that level

You have to understand - everyone out there on the court with you is just as nervous as you are. Just play - if they don't like your game, it's not the end of the world! The only person you need to be concerned with pleasing is the guy in the mirror you see while you're brushing your teeth. And you can't do that if you totally worried about pleasing someone who can't "hold a candle" to your game .

what up dude, I'm probably the best in my towns history. u did what i did in high school, it's called think. you're thinking to damn much, don't get the ball and think 'i don't want to mess up', or 'what if i don't do good even if i'm better than these guys' just think that you want to win and you're going to play as hard as you can to try to help your team. you can't always do what you try, but you gotta just go after it to actually get the job done. stop standing there and being nervous, GIVE 'EM A NICE SHOT FAKE OR HESITATION MOVE AND TAKE THE BALL TO THE DAMN HOLE! That's it! that's all you have to do is stop thinking so much, believe me I KNOW that this is your problem because I used to suffer from it and I still managed to average 23.5 a game for 2 straight years. good luck dude, let us know how u do

am an all star. just because you dont know the people you should know the basics, shooting form defense offense, you wont know plays and such, but you should know how to do a lay up.its easy.neves come, but then they will go away and you will be in the game.tell yourself you are the best, and no one is better and you will feel good about yourself and more confident which will make u happier ansd then u will 4get bout ur nerves.dont worry bout it.go at there and play some hoops!!
(wow, that was inspiring)jk
good luck!!

i play bball. just dont get nervous. think like it is a everyday game. if u have a chance to shoot the ball(only if u know if u can make it). if ur open and you shoot and u miss go after ur rebound. if u shoot the ball and u know u going to mess then right after u shot run after the ball when it is in the air. dont get nervous. play like u always do.

you just have to be calm before the game. dont be like other people who go crazy and start banging on the lockers. take it easy. try to metitate. when you get the ball, try to do the same thing, but thinking also about the b-ball legends.

it works

In any sport or game "confidence" is your biggest weapon
in my opinion.

Therefore if you feel confident you will play confident
