After questioning lengthy and puzzling over your question, I governed out many mater- ial issues that are keepsakes that i might desire to stay without. yet the two issues I very own, that are the two life enablers, are my examining glasses and my jogging cane. 2 issues I rely on on a daily basis to easily exist in life. I also have a project with imbalance, and undesirable eyesight, so the two aids are needed to my wellbeing. I misplaced a pair of glasses for television watching in a flow final 12 months, and that they might't be replacd because of the fee to re- produce them with a heavy correction. So i'm left to apply a trifical lens which desires an improve to a miles better perscription. I make do, as this is all i will do, for the present time. If we're talking monetary value, I'd have to say my computer. It's awesome. I think it cost like...i dunno...but it cost a lot. Brand new graphics card, far over 200 gb hard drive, flat panel monitor, it's quite pricey. :]
If we're speaking about SENTIMENTAL value, it's the pink polar bear that was given to me on my first ever Christmas, just a few months after I was born. In 14 years, it's never left my sight. :]

For me it's my computer. It keeps me in touch with people. I can use it to talk over the phone. I can travel the world in words and pictures, watch the news, hear music, discuss anything with anyone, anywhere, look at photos of my family from generations gone by, read letters from friends, create my art, writes stories, go shopping, pay bills, research, look for a job, get a degree, sell things, check the weather, work on my novel, ask and answer Yahoo Answers, look at other people and places with the webcam. When you add up all the things my computer allows me to do, it's value is immense to me. Thanks for the question. Glad I had my computer to see it! LOL

The most valuable material item to me, is my brand new custom made computer, I was suprised with by my sister and her husband, on Christmas.

Since it was installed on January 7th, I have spent innumerable hours on the computer, doing research, school projects, and sending e-mails, to family and friends so, I'd have to say, it's that.

My car. My surfboard is pretty expensive too. This would be my answer for both the monetary and sentimental aspect of the question.

The flag the Veterans gave me at my dad's funeral.
Too many younger people living today have no idea what a HUGE sacrifice was made by the people who lived through the WWII.
