According to Microsoft street maps it lies almost perfectly between 7th ave and 8th ave. That puts it on Manhattan Island, the long slender parcel of land that "points" out at the statue of liberty. It is south of Greenwich Village.

that is between 7th and 8th avenues. Closer to 7th avenue. Just 5 blocks from Madison Square Garden
