They were lucky enough to be spotted at their Final Degree show by Charles Saatchi ( of Saatchi and Saatchi Art gallery, and The Saatchi Gallery fame).
He was looking for something new and controversial for his collection.
Being at College in London helped- and as with all Fine Artists having extreme confidence in their work and the ability to explain the concept behind it at length and convince other people of it's worth.

They're just lucky (I think). I don't know them, 'cuz I'm not from England and I'm not British (even if I wanted to) hehehe. Anyway, my answer is they have talents and if they know someone in the industry that could help them, then they are much more lucky! They earn millions of money, 'cuz they strive hard in order to achieve it, that's all. Also, they are stars now and their talent fees are becoming higher and higher, until only one commercial will pay $100, 000 or higher than that for them!

Are they true artist's?What they do is called conceptual art.It makes me sick. Some fantastic artists struggle for years to get recognition.Damien and Tracy, were spotted by a rich man who had nothing better to do with his money, than buy a calf floating in formaldehyde.Tracy Emin,s bedroom with used condoms lying on the floor is mostly shock jock art.Where ,if it was for sale?would you put it.Utter tosh,if you ask me.

Some people have more money than sense. They buy a work of art and thanks to their ability to create a media hype, the crowd follows. It becomes self-perpetuating, unfortunately. Not that I begrudge anyone earning a bob or two but as for their artistic merit....?
