Pushing people,spitting on people,ripping flags out of the pro american protesters..,just attacking people like the animals they are.What is it they were protesting?For peace??Yeh that shows an abundant amount of peace.

They are fighting for freedom of speech...THEIRS..your not allowed to have it...GO GATHERING OF EAGLES...they were great..had more PRO TROOP protesters than the anti war muzzie supporting scum did....

You are making a lot of assumptions with your statements. The Washington Post reported the protests were largely peaceful. There are always malcontents who get carried away and cause problems, but they were reported to be at a minimum. Also, why do you assume that all of the people who became a problem were the anti-war protesters? There were also people there loudly standing against the anti-war protesters. You, or I, have no way of knowing how many of each group presented problems. But after reading your additonal details and seeing your penchant for stereotyping by calling all anti-war protesters "pot smoking non working birkenstock wearing hippies," there is no need to answer the question. Hippies? Birkenstock wearing lol? Are you stuck in the past? Honestly, that's pretty funny.
Try to accept the fact that 70% of this nation does not approve of this war. Unless 70% of this country somehow magically turned into pot smoking non working hippies, there's plenty of hard working sober moderate people like myself that fill that percentage. I do have an old pair of Birkenstocks though, they are very comfortable ;).

i think it is because people are confused, and they are more following others than thinking for themselves and the mob mentality sets in. people think if they scream loud enough that will get them what they want. that does work sometimes though... also i think whoever was knit-picking about the spelling of HIPPYCRITS (thats what i call them haha) got the point and the spelling isnt important, the message is. dont deviate from the real issues. really it is a mockery of the past leaders for peace the way most anti war protests go down now. also it is very common to have COUNTER protests, its all about freedom baby!
i think mob mentality, and people wanting to shove their ideals down your throat, and inconsistency in ideals and character lead to non peaceful anti war protestors.

my niece just got back from there and she said there was very little violence, and what she seen was started by pro war. a guy came up to a girl and started pushing her. i personally don't care if a person is for or against the war, but what kind of man hits a woman. i believe in a strong nation, and their right to protest for and against the war, this fact is it's costing us a fortune and our young soldiers are being killed. what we really need to do is get it settled so we won't have to go back in a few years

If they really wanted to stop the war they would be better off ignoring it. Seriously. If they were to ignore it, it might not stop it, but at least maybe they will forget about it and stop causing problems.
