I've killed the two smaller hydras, but the larger one regenerates again and again. I've beaten this thing down in every way possible trying to figure a way. Is there just a glitch or am I missing something?

Keep hitting Hydra until the O comes up keep tapping it until Hydra slams into the post it will brake. It takes 3 times the last time Hydra head will go through the post. Go into Hydras mouth to get the key.
"You need to tap the O fast until Hydras head smashes or you will just be throwen"

easy...keep smashing the big head until it falls...activate the minigame by pressing O...press buttons in order then rapidly tap O to whack the head into the mast...do this 3 more times to wipe it out...
