It annoys me when people say this. To me it's a big kick in the teeth and basically them saying - next time dont do what YOU want, do it my way because i'm always right!

Do people not let you make mistakes anymore?

Do you agree or you're fine with people saying it?

It happens to all of us at one time or another. I have it figured they are trying to build theirself up, like ,"wow, see, I was so right." My thoughts there are, " well, whoopee ding, so you were right, no one is right all the time."
Someone with a brain does not do that, they feel bad you had to learn the hard way, but that's life also, we do have to learn the hard way. Its called.... part of growing up.

I honestly can't remember any time when anyone said this to me. It does sound like a "kick in the teeth," but who cares? Lots of people like to think they're always "right." Well, let 'em go for it. If you feel you really made a mistake, well, it's your life. Phooey.

"bless your heart". that's a big one down here in the south. basically it means that the person will then say something totally horrible about you, but "bless your heart" takes care of any wrong thing about to be said.

"i told you so" is just another way to annoy. make all the mistakes you want, just don't tell that person you made them!

Yeah, Its words of any kind in a demeaning manner, "you are stupid", "How dumb are you?"' the old saying sticks and stones , may break my bones , but words will never hurt me, is a lie words stick with you forever, so think before you speak, you may say something you will regret, and cant take back. you can say you are sorry, by then its too late. there will always be someone who thinks they can do no wrong. but, we ALL make mistakes

Usually my suggestions to others are so loud and clear, I know that they know that I was right.

So....I NEVER say "I told you so" EVER.

Do unto others as you would have others do unto to you. That's my rule.

To me what's worse then the "I told you so" phrase, they don't say it, they just smirk and nod.

"I told you so". Ugh! I hate when people say that, too.
