It depends on what mood I was in, the author, how much it was, and what the cover looked like. I probable would because it is fiction (right?) and I buy most books that are fiction as long as I have the money and it's not too expensive. I would also buy it because majority of the books with pirates that I have read have been very interesting and are full of suspense and mystery, "great" pirate language, and just plain funny experiences. At least I thought it was funny.

Probably not.
Because of industry paranoia over internet piracy, and because of the fans wetting their pants in anticipation of the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie, pirates are a glut on the market. There's just too darn many pirates. A friend of mine sells t-shirts with the logo "Pirate is the new Ninja." You need to do something to stand out from the crowd. Pirates have become ordinary.
