Talk in an accent for fun? If so, what accent do you impersonate the best?

I like to talk in a New Yorker accent, sometimes my kids and I will talk in different accents out in public. People look at us funny.

In a snobbish accent if you know what that is... I'm from the South but I don't have a thick accent so sometimes I imitate those with the thicker accent. Also Nigerian accents because I didn't live there long enough to develop a strong accent.

I'm Spanish from Puerto Rico, so I have that accent naturally.
But I live in the south and I have that southern accent also.

I have to be vary careful when writing because there is still so much Spanish in me that it will show, and then a bit of the southern in me whats to come out also ,if I'm trying to wright fast I have all the different sounds ,English,Spanish.and southern to decipher.

being on y/a is helping me out a lot with my English and I don't mind when someone corrects me , just wish some of them would be a bit nicer about it.

I thinks is funny when I'm talking to someone in English and thy pick up on my souther accent then thy find out I'm Spanish.

But hay I'm working on it.

I speak i a myriad of accents!!! I have traveled the world to a great degree, and the nation as well.....it has served me well especially in Texas, where if I didn't speak with a Texas accent, i wasn't treated as well...go figure. yes, i can do Euro accents as well...it is all in fun.....and I am really good at it. Second nature with my sense of humour, always meant in fun!!!!!

Heck yes. All the time. I like to do either British or Scottish accents. They're so much fun.

Yeah, I do it all the time! I usually talk in a British or Spanish accent. People stare, but hey! That's just one way I like to express myself. : )

My husband and I talk in an Indian accent to each other sometimes (you know like Apu from the Simpsons.) He (my hubby) is from India, so we find it really funny lol.

Absolutely! I love accents. I'm rather good at picking them up. My British one is probably my best. I'm also pretty good at speaking with Irish, Scottish, southern & Australian accents. I'm working on my Russian one. It's not perfect, yet. I sound a little Natasha-esque. "We must kill Moose & Squierrl."

I'm glad to know that one of my friends & I aren't the only ones who do that.

Peace!

I love to do a British accent, but people can tell it's fake.

I love to copy my mother's accent, "Old Connecticut". She says, "Thank Gawd!" Instead of God. I miss hearing the New England accents..
