Where would I go to find out what the laws for detaining a person is... in the state of Texas...
I know someone who is facing extradiction from the state of Colorado... this person (a woman) is afraid to be brought back to the state of texas... (due to the fact that last time she was in the county jail facility in a very rural/small county in texas... she was raped, beaten, and worse)...
Could someone point me to a website containing the detention codes, penal codes, and other things of the sort... for the state of Texas...
Thanks...

You can find out Texas law by calling the Capitol building, and talking with someone from the Attorney Generals Office. My biggest question is, did she file charges and a law suit for the " rape and beatings".

I lived in some very rural areas and that stuff just don't go on any more with the ACLU and other groups ready to pounce and make a name for some new liberal lawyer.

Sounds like its time to reevaluate the situation and see if there is more going on than meets the eye. Most states will not extradite unless charges are filed. Most States allow you to be held for 72 hours, then they have to charge you and arraign you or kick you loose, cause longer than that and its money in your pocket.

Check out your facts before calling Austin Texas.
