Based on the findings in this video, is America a Christian nation?

No, it is a nation built on diversity, that is what has made it the greatest nation on earth. Keeping the government from establishing a religion played a big part on the people that fought in the revolution and the framers of the constitution.

Wow! That is interesting. While I believe America is a Christian nation it is also a nation for people who don't happen to be Christians as well. I believe those statues send that message loud and clear. We are a nation of immigrants. An eclectic mix of people from everywhere on earth with a dream that can only be fulfilled in a free nation. We are a nation that sould recongnize and appreciate what others have to contribute to the rich and diverse culture that is America. Those who really understand our history know that what we call American today usually has roots elsewhere.

Those who do not recognize this should not claim to be Americans.

nightwish rules!!!!!! sorry i was to busy jamming out to nightwish to really pay attention to the video. jk. we are and we are not. the author of this video has taken a lot of things out of context and also assigned credit for quotes to people who did not make them. if you do your homework the magna carta was based upon the ten commandments. historically speaking they were the very first written system of laws. now i am not sure why that guy hates christianity so much or why so very many people do but our country was founded on true christian beliefs whether intentional or not. the acceptance of all people is a very christian doctrine. "love the sinner hate the sin" "judge not lest thee be judged" "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" these are the ideals of christianity the only problem is the vast majority of christian who abide these teachings are never on tv or get any press but the ones who throw them aside for their own gaines get all the attention they could ever want. so the minority gets the press and all christians are bad. well every black guy i see on the news is either Barak obama, an athlete or a criminal. does this mean that all black people are either barak obama an athlete or a criminal. no and anyone who would seriously suggest that it does prove that would be called ignorant but if is a religious group we are talking about then it is totally ok to lump every one in with the minority. call it whatever you like it is still prejdice and wrong.

I wouldn't base anything on the finding of the video as it is not deep in fact and draws loose parallels that can be viewed in a different way!

America says she is Christian, but is suppose to welcome all, not just Christians, Our Constitution was written to protect the least of us, not the majority, no matter the issue!

America I believe, for the most part, is, yet there are those who attempt to use Christianity in a manner it was not intended by Jesus Christ! There are those who claim they are Christian, but the don't treat our poor, hungry, children or elderly that way!

America is a Christian nation that acts mean spirited at times, and for a few only! Oil, the war in Iraq and the Bush administration are the most amoral we have to offer! Don't look at the rest of us in the manner in which a few act!

It doesn't matter whether or not it actually is or was a true historical fact. What matters is what people believe.

If most Americans are Christians and most Christians believe that America is a Christian nation (whatever that means at any given moment), then lo and behold say hello to theocracy.

Hello,

Very good video.
Thank you.

Yeah, since 2003, I have learned, with sadness in my heart, that our nation was not built on God or a Christian nation.
But my goodness, it is not easy to tell your family and friends about this new revelation.

You see, in 2003, I began listening to Dr. Stan Monteith on Radio Liberty. WOW!! What a shocker it was to my ears and beliefs. I mean, Dr. Stan is a Christian man and it must break his heart to tell his listening audience these truths.

But, like Jesus said, "Yea shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free" The truth, even to my Christian family, is a scary thing to even comprehend. I guess it is just not their time to hear or understand the truth of what our government leaders have been doing to our sovereignty for.....ever....

I just hope that sooner than later they will remember what I have been telling and showing them.

Remember, IGNORANCE IS BLISS...but really, it is not...

Hope this helps you........................ :- O

Well it was founded on Christen principles. However what the Founders of the Country beleived is that people who didn't believe in God could live here but not serve in any post. Including the Military. What they origanly ment by seperatnig Church & State was that no politition was to not publicly endorse any religion.

Many will claim it is a Christian Nation and the founding fathers intended to be this way however this is not true.

I think it is, because most people here are Christian, and it annoys me that they think they are the only religion, and the only good one too. Jut look at all the media. I'm an atheist, btw.
