how much do college transfers/breaks matter to employers?

i've been to two schools, taken time off in-between, and thinking about a third, do future employers look at this negatively? as in kind of flaky?

I have been an employer for some time. Generally, these days, there is so much competition that every good job posting gets 800 resumes. Most employers don't know that you have a questionable school record unless they ask for transcripts, which in my opinion, means you already got in the door, which is more than half of the battle.

So, don't worry about the school stuff, just get your degree. Completing the degree is a positive over those without a degree. Then make yourself memorable in the interview.

Most employers understand that "life happens" and that for various reasons at different times in life, people's priorities change. If you're applying for a job, they may ask you to account on your resume for breaks in study or work. So you might want to be prepared to respond in general terms, if asked.

Ultimately, employers are more concerned that you have an acceptable degree (if a degree is required), that you bring experience and skills that are related to the job, and that you can and will do what's needed to fulfill the jobs requirements. If you get the job, they'll judge your reliability (or flakiness) based on your attendance, conduct, and job performance.

No. They care if you never finished school... but transfers are fine. Just list the last one on your resume though.
