I'm going thru the same thing....sorry for your loss....
I also am thinking the same way, however my conclusion to your question is, believe in your heart that your loved one is safe and in perfect form and missing you too, but knows that before you and they can be reunited, there are things here left for you too accomplish. And when it is your time they will be waiting for you with open arms, no matter what the circumstances of them leaving this world was with you. I had a dream once of a deased father of a friend of mine...and I told him in the dream that his daughter missed him something aweful.....with sadness in his eyes he said back to me....she misses one (meaning him), but I miss many (meaning all of his other family and friends), I don't know if this will help you in comfort, but take care fellow mourner, and god bless. Also, there is a book called 'Final Gifts' , written by Maggie Callanan and Patricia Kelley, an excellent book. It will give you an idea of dying and death and a bit of the communication that a dying person has with the other side, prior to their passing. This book was written by 2 hospice nurses and all true stories. It help me out alot.

The other side of what? Don't you realize that as hard as this fact is for people to accept, the reason that you think "there is something else" is because we have the most complex brains on the planet. Our instincts drive us and our emotions complicate things even more, but this is a human. Our perception for abstract ideas (God, creation, math, etc.) has surpassed anything on the planet by far, but our sense of smell is very weak. They are one in the same this intelligent sensory-computational ability and the sense of smell. They are the same an ability a sense and the senses can be fooled. Human's brains are so complex we think something made us, nothing else on the planet is known to have this belief.

This is a lot like talking to God. You can't see the person but you speak from your heart anyway knowing that your words will be heard.

This seems like a more spiritual or religous question than a biological one. I don't doubt that its possible, but its not going to be anything today's science can help you with. My suggestion is, pray/meditate. Clear your mind of everything, don't try to imagine what they would say, or what you would say. Just clear your mind and listen. Sometimes I feel convinced people I've known that have died are speaking to me somehow, but I've never had a 'conversation' with any of them. I'd be a little worried about my mental state if I had.

Don't waste your time or money. There has never been a verified case of this happening, and many scams. I am not versed in these thing, but if I wanted to do it, I would meditate and find the path in my mind. After all, what you think and feel is all that matters.

Well unfortunately u cant talk with the dead since they are not conscious of anything at all, And there s no other side other than the grave that they have been buried at.

According to the Bible, the dead know nothing, it is as if they are asleep. Sorry to say, you cannot talk with the dead. That is, if you believe in what the Bible says.
