I have a butterfly and a rose on one breast and a butterfly on my pelvic area. No reason, just liked them and wanted them in a place that could be private. I got them for myself, no one else. And I've had them for 30 years, still no regrets and considering I take good care of myself they still look good.

my only tattoo is a reminder to not worry and trust God. i needed something that will constantly remind me, and there's nothing better than a tattoo 'coz you can't take it off or misplace it. plus it's gonna be there for a long while... of course, i didn't have to keep it boring. it's in kanji. for your son, it may be better if it is a promise to your son, like protection or something...
