Lots and Lots of Water (before bed,in bed,in morning WATER!)
Vitamin C---like at least 1000mg (if you smoke--even more)
A multi or B's vitamin certain will help
Apricots---trust me on this one
A protein shake or smoothie(with fruit) or a veggie drink like V-8.
Before while drinking, try a beer, a water, a beer, a water your less likely to have hangover.
The main thing is when you are out drinking and eating salty stuff usually and "peeing" more, maybe dancing, sweating
all the while you are losing vitamins and minerals and getting closer and closer to dehydration. You usually get the hangover from dehydration.....so you need to replace those fluids. Not to mention by drinking and partying you are most likely to be throwing your regular schedule out of whack that
too can some people feel like crap (ie not getting their morning coffee on time etc.)
Then again you can always Not drink, thats the way I went, figured "I got to old for this ****" LOL.

Lots of water, I have read hangovers come from being slightly dehydrated so water will help. Other remedies are vanilla ice cream my ex swore by it.
I have tried V-8 just the plain one it worked fine for me & lots of sleep and water also it's said that clear alcohol give a worse hangover than brown liquor.

5 Steps:
1. Drink at least 16 oz water
2. Eat something. I like to work the greasy angle -Burger & fries work for me. Otherwise try a protein shake if you want to consume something healthy
3. Supplement yourself. Take 1000mg of vitamin C and 500mg of L-Cysteine (amino acid) which will help clear your system of the impurities in alcohol. A product called emergen-c seems to work well too.
4. Take a nice hot shower. I just let the water rush over my head for 10 minutes. While you're at it, if you have enough space, get a little stretch. Alcohol will park itself in your muscles. Getting the blood flowing will help wash it out.
5. 20 Minute power nap (extremely essential)
Bam! Wake up a new man/woman!

I take a bc or goody's powder (any pain killer may work, but the powders are QUICK!) and I drink a half to a full glass of water just before I crash at night. By the time I get up, I'm fine! If I still feel a little icky by morning, I'll drink more water till I'm ok.
;o)

The homeopathic preparation called NUX VOMICA (lilerally meaning no vomit) starts to work within 15-20 minutes of taking it. All of this advice about not drinking is a little out of place when you already have the hangover.

Mine is more like hangover prevention. Generally after partying, I guzzle one of those 52 ounce water bottles and force down a piece of plain bread. Never get a hangover.
