Dont go by the hairless rats cost less then a hairless cat...all animals need vet attention, and if you acctually find a good exotic vet it is going to cost you the same vet care as a cat just less years. Even your cat and dog vets dont really know about hairless animals, because surprise they are concidered exotics even though they and fido and princess. Any hairless animal has more skin problems then a haired animal, they also have more health problems usualy then haired. BUt dont think a rat is going to cost you less. $300 for a simple tumor removal for example..and thats on a rat. Shaz

It definantly depends on many things.
A hairless rat is going to cost you a lot less money, but a hairless cat is going to live for quite a while longer.
It's really up to your life style and your resources. Rats do make wonderful pets, including hairless, I have never had a hairless cat, I dont know what kind of temperment they have. You should research both and see which one better suits your life style.

Hairless cats live about 5 times longer than a hairless rat, so I'd go with the cat. (BTW, I'm a rat-lover--had 'em all my life.)

Uh... they save struggling with because of the fact they don't comprehend one yet another... and because they're the two men who did no longer advance up with one yet another. no longer because of the fact one is furry and the different is bald. easy. save them remote from one yet another. it is not going that they are going to ever settle for one yet another in the event that they're finished grown rats who're used to the two being on my own or with yet another rats for corporation, so only save them in separate cages. Or, positioned them in 2 cages and positioned the cages close to a minimum of one yet another so as that the two rats can get to comprehend one yet another's heady scent then possibly think approximately of project. do no longer in basic terms positioned them in a cage at the same time.
