I have two pcs set up on a wireless router, each time I turn on either computer it installs a "new" printer! Why is it doing this and how can I get it to stop. Also, each pc has an identical printer hooked up to it. One printer prints the other one doesn't.
Help! Thanks!

you have to remove the old printer and driver for the printer and all the software and then do a restart and the defrag the hard drive and do a clean up topo that way it will clean up all the old files too and then you go to where the control panel is and click on the button that say printer and it should say install printer but most computers will detect the printer once it is connectted to the computer but make shure all software and drivers are uninstalled ok that should do it for you if not please email me and i will help you further ok my email is countryman12001@yahoo.com thanks and i hope this helps.......

There's too little detail to give you a lot of options, but here's what I'd do:

1) Delete all printers in your list and uninstall any software from Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel.

2) Disconnect the printer and reboot

3) Run the Setup CD that you got with the printer

4) At some point, the installer will prompt you to connect the printer. Do so and finish the install.

5) Reboot again

Hopefully now it won't keep doing that every time you reboot.
