You should always offer your guinea pig a good pellet diet specifically for guinea pigs, timothy hay and oranges for vitamin c, they can have many other fruit and veggies in their diet...

Guineas should have leafy greens, bell peppers (NOT hot peppers), parsley, dill and things high in vitamin C. You should give a cup per pig a day. Fruits are a treat that should be given once or twice a week. You should also make sure they have timothy hay (unlimited, meaning enough so that they can eat continuously if they choose).
Carrots are high in vitamins that can be harmful if eaten too much, so NEVER feed a guinea pig a whole carrot each day. With things like oranges, you should be careful to not give too much because it can cause mouth sores. Carrots and oranges should be in moderation as with all fruits.
Things guinea pigs should not have are potatoes, onions, and spicy vegetables like jalapenos. Basically, if you are not sure, consult a vet about what they can eat.

All of these people had great answers! I had mine for about 6 yrs until he was murdered! Some training advices... I left his cage on the ground in my house .. when I would let him out he would follow me especially if i was walking toward the fridge! After I got his treats out (like carrots or leafy greens) I would walk back to his cage and he would hop right back in by his-self and I would give him the treats! Spend as much time as you can with your little fella! They are smarter than you think!

I usually go to the green grocer and get carrot tops, and other disposed greens like pumpkin skins, cauliflower, lettuce.
any fresh fruit goes. though i heard you should avoid avocado.
also rabbit pellets go down well. it contains lucerne and corn. you can give her cooked corn on the cob.
they also eat carpets, curtains, books, shoes and clothes. beware.

timothy hay, romaine lettuce, kale, spinach, collard and turnip greens, and dandelions. Pellets should make up 2/3 of their diet
