Does Staples Drug Test? If so, what is the process?

I have a job interview tomorrow at 11. I was wondering if they drug test, I know in the application it said would you reject a drug test.. i asnswered no, but I have smoked recently.. was that question just to scare me, or do they on a regular basis before hiring? thanks!

Well I'm assuming I am because i never filled out a application that asked if I would be able to take a drug test, so I thought they deffinitely were going to..

I think it would really depend on the position you are being hired for. A regular floor sales person, probably not. A management position, more likely. They may to a random screening process where people get randomly selected to be screened. They may also screen potential employees if they believe that there may be drug use. I am not fully familiar with Staples policy, but would think that it is unlikely that you will be screened.

I worked at Staples about four years ago. They never gave me a drug test. If they had tested some of the people I worked with, I think we would've been short half of our staff.
