My husband was trying to be helpful and fix a broken vase with superglue. Somehow he got a huge glob on our dark wook dining table. How can I get it off with out ruining the finish or scraping up the table?

try nail polish removed...it works on hands if you get super glue on them. It will probably affect the table finish, but that can be redone.

It may not come off but try removing the blade from a utility knife and try to "pop" it off by carefully holding the blade at a low angle and pressing it into the hardened glue and lifting.
If that doesn't work use the same blade after heating the glob with your hair dryer to shave small amounts off until you are just above the original surface. At this time, without heat, try the "popping" method. Patience is the key here. If you get too aggressive you will surely damage the finish. Finally if there is slight scratching try using 600 grit sandpaper. Remember again not to overkill with the sanding. Finish by applying your favorite polish.

You can't... sorry. The super glue will remove the varnish, even if you just simply scrape the glue off with a razor blade.

I am not sure but I think you can take the table outside away from heaters and flames..and try a little paint thinner...but do NOT rub...or
buy a pretty new tablecloth..white is beautiful.
