I go to College right now and I work at a job for 8 hours a day 2 times a week. I do assembly line work and It is very very boring and slow. I found the only way I can make time go any faster is if I keep my mind occupied and relaxed. Problem is I usually do this by accident. I feel as though I will freak when I have to do this job full time over the summer. So for those people who do boring work all the time, how do you keep yourself occupied so the day doesnt suck so bad!

soso, concentrating on this type of work for 8 hours at a time leads to massive headaches. which in turn creates a less productive worker. I dont think placing a small engine part in a slot is very difficult and would require my full concentration.

My only advice to you is to focus on your job before you zone out and lop off an ear or something. Concentrate on what you are assembling. Focus your efforts on creating a quality product before you get fired for singing along to Brittney Spears (or whatever the kids are listening to today) or spacing out when you should be actively engaged in your duties as a part of what should be a highly effecient assembly line. Also, not every job is exciting and entertaining. That's why it's called WORK!

Try thinking about the type of career you want to have once you graduate from college. Imagine it in detail - what will your office look like? What will you wear to work? What will your colleagues do? Plan your future and then work to make it a reality.

I might also suggest that since you're in college you look for an internship job in your major field instead of doing assembly work. I did a brief stint as an assembler once, and you are right, a smart and dynamic person can lose their mind!

Are you allowed to wear head phones to hear music or perhaps have a language tape going on while on your shift? IF yes, then, there is one way to fight the boredom. The secret is to find ways to keep your brain active. If you can keep your brain active, you will not get bored. Good luck.

feels like this guy nicely-knownshows the activity boring too, thats why he's messing around lots. connect in in case you sense like it, yet i do no longer think of he's flirting with you, in THAT way. merely save questioning of the money! and don't project, you will settle in fantastic after a pair of weeks. Is there absolutely everyone else you are able to refer to, different than for this guy?

If they let you get books on Cd or tape and listen to them, Dean Koontz is a good author to listen to.
