It says the words are from Mali, a country in Western Africa:

- In Mali, this song is known as 'the hymn for trust and knowledge'. Afel Bocoum is trying to explain the lyrics. In the booklet accompanying "Talking Timbuktu", the essence of the lyrics is summarized as follows:

Trust and faith in your fellow humans has no equal. If you have experienced trust you will know its strength and it'll empower you. You must first know yourself to better get aquainted with the others and to seek knowledge.

Paint it Black - Marie LaForet How Can I Live (Spanish) - ill Nino Ba I dont really like listening to songs that i dont know the lyrics, mainly because I listen to music more for the lyrics than anything else, i mean i love good guitars and drums and such, but I like the lyrics to make sense and have a some sort of message that i can understand without having to translate it.
