I had a pet praying mantis, she was so cool, laid 2 egg sacks that hatched into tiny lil ones no bigger than a pencil led. And I had a pet scorpion and took it to school to show. Someone fed it a cricket and the damn cricket ATE the scorpion! So I kept the cricket for a while and named it killer.
Did you have a strange pet?

A pet June Bug. You know, the really big flying beetle looking things that come out in summer. They are really cool to tie strings to their legs and fly them around.

Well, I've never had anything that outrageous. I once caught a bluegill while fishing. He was about 7 inches long. He was out of the water for about an hour. When I got home I was going to clean him, but he was still alive, so I kept him in an aquarium with some goldfish.

The thing lived for a number of months till one day, he decided to make a break for it. His leap of faith must have occurred a few hours before I got home from school, 'cause this time, he was a goner.

Well it wasn't all that strange, but I had a cockatiel once that had a fair vocabulary, but he was a whistler.

He could do whiporwill and wolf whistles. The wolf whistle he would go for whenever any female was around. And he wouldn't shut up. Sometimes he would get them confused and start a wolf whistle and it would turn out as a Whip poor will!!

Laugh a minute.

I had little turtles for pets when I was younger. But I've always had cats and some pretty strange ones at that. Like the ones I have now for instance.

I had a turtle. But my mom and grandma left it outside and a cat or bird ate it. All that was left was his shell. And it was a gift from my grandpa when he went fishing. I was like 7 when it happened, now I'm 20 and still haven't got over it.

I lived in hollyweird in a rather crappy rooming house or hotel ,whatever you wanna call it, when I was 18 and there was this roach so big that when i stepped on him he just waved his little antennas at me and went back under my bed and into the wall. every night when I'd come home from work there he was soon I got tired of trying to kill him and going thru the same routine each night , I just named him Herman and he became my pet roach.

I had an armadillo once for about a week. I found out that I needed a permit for him or there would be a $1000/day fine. I took him to a licensed facility.
