This was at my previous employer: An employee exceeded his "sick days" and had to be terminated; it was right after we handed out the holiday turkeys. He left quietly, but later that evening when the receptionist was gone he came back with his frozen turkey on a rampage, screaming and threatening the boss. He threw the turkey through a glass wall; I was hiding under my desk dialing 9-1-1 because the guy was in the military reserve and obviously had access to firearms, who knows where it could have escalated. Plus, where my office was located I could not leave without passing him - that freaked me out. He did calm down when the cops showed up, and even came back a few months later to ask if he could be rehired - as if!
Another time one of the "guys" at my current employer basically held me hostage in my office for 2 hours CRYING because he wasn't selected for a promotion. Please understand, he works in a different department than I do, so there wasn't anything I could do, plus I really didn't like him. It was after hours, we had a brief meeting at the end of the day to review a project and he just started on his sad little rampage. There was no one left in my department, so I asked him to leave several times, and even told him that my husband was expecting me at a specific time, and he still would not leave. He just kept yelling and crying - it was very awkward. I finally called company security to escort him out of my building, he didn't even leave when I called them. He apologized later and said he just needed to let off steam, but it is hard to work with him now.

I used to work at a place where I was the first one in. I would arrive about 3 a.m. and do some work before the rest of the staff started arriving at 5:30.
One morning, I had some music playing when I thought I heard something down the hall. I turned the music down and listened, but I didn't hear anything else, so I just forgot about it.
When the other people started arriving, they discovered that we'd been burglarized.
Security measures were put into place after that.
I wasn't scared at all during the burglary because I didn't know it was happening, but I was kind of shaken afterwards.

Yes few times actually, mostly from home though!
I had these guys from school come to my kitchen window at 3am and me and my sister were up and I was doing the dishes and they came and yelled my name right in front of the window in the kitchen and it freaked the hell outta me!!!! I was even dressed properly cause last thing I thought was these guys would act stupid at fricken 3am! I just turned the lights off and hoped they would go away but they kept yelling my name and I ignored them and they eventually went away. I dislike stupid people like that, so immature!
Another time...
Too many stories actually!

Yes, when I was a small child in the sixties, I had to stay after school for talking to much, and the high school was up the street, and I started walking home and a high school-er threw me on the ground and had a knife, but a passer by scared him off. Remember it as if happened yesterday.

I worked in a medical clinic and had to call an ambulance one time. One time in high school, this guy started punching a girl in the face. I ran to the office to get help. The teacher wasn't in the room.

Yes. There was this drunk driver lady, and she was at my school, and got out of the car, running (wobbling) until she smashed into the gym wall. Now, this is a brick wall. Police came, and we had a small lock down.

at my job I call the cops about once a month-in the winter, and once a week when it is warm out. Most of those situations are not threatening, but I have dealt with people who had knives and such. Fortunately, they were all people who were out of their gourds for one reason or another. Not my favorite part of the job.

yes, we had a drunk come into our place and he had to be escorted out of the building...it was a women...and the funny part she stopped in a the guard shack (she used to be a rent a cop) and when she got to her work station the rent a cops followed her as she had booze on her breath and was acting kind of aggressive.
She probably would not have been busted but she was the one who went into the guard shack to get some safety glasses as she misplaced hers...boy she was a dum dum blowing booze breath in the rent a cops face..of course when they checked her breath..balloon ...she was legally drunk
