Home pregnancy tests that show up positive are almost never wrong. You can get a false negative, but rarely ever a false positive. Now, if you're wondering if you're prego and you want to take a pregnancy test early, like for example only 3 weeks after your period, then you may get a negative result even if you are pregnant. If it shows up positive, take a second test to be sure, but you're likely pregnant if the test says you are.

Of course it is depending on when these three weeks occured. I am assuming that you mean during a single 28 day cycle. If that is the case.....Congratulations, I am happy for you.
Remember to start taking good care of yourself right away. You need to be getting Folic Acid (ideally before you are pregnant!) and prenatal vitamins will have it in them.

Read the box. You could have gotten pregnant at the end of week 2 and the test picked it up in one week. How sensitive is the test?
