My friend and i are arguing when you start to count the days so you can tell when its going to be next. I told her that you start counting on the first day of your period, she said its from the last day.....whose right?

I was always taught its from the start...and its always been 28 days from the start of mine..to the start of the next one...until the last 3 months...*its my medication*

I was told by my OBGYN of 20 years that you start counting on the first day of your period, that would be day 1.

Hope this helps!

start from the first day of bleeding. meaning the first day of your menstruation. it's the start of the cycle. but remember every woman is different. a cycle may vary between 20-35 days. others morethan 50 days like when i'm not on the pill. having around 53 days is normal for me.
