You wouldn't feel the baby itself, because at this point the uterine walls are VERY thick (preparing for all that stretching) and you wouldn't be able to discern shapes...but you should be able to feel sort of a ball right above her pubic bone...and the ball is the uterus itself. And NO, whoever said they were a nurse and knew the baby was only the size of grain of rice was incorrect, a 3 month old fetus is about 2 1/2 inches long...and looks very much like a baby (I saw mine on ultrasound already). The mom can't feel the baby move from the inside yet, and you can't feel it from the outside either. But it will happen soon!

The mother can feel the baby move around the 16th week of gestation. Most moms say that it feels like a butterfly moving in her stomach, bubbles, or gas. At about 20 weeks someone else can feel the baby by pressing on the mother's stomach.

No, most likely at 12 weeks she can't even yet feel the baby move. You might be able to feel the uterus. I'm thin and could feel the baby moving from outside quite early - I think that was 18 weeks.

YES! I read this in some of the literature i got from the doctor apparently if you press on your belly an inch or something below your navel you can feel where the baby is growing. and as you get bigger the baby rises above the navel.
its just more firm and round. you cant feel the head or arms or anything.

absolutely not. because baby used to move only after 5 months. so that time only a mother can able to feel the baby's movements well. sometimes you can feel it after 18 weeks. then after 5 months it'll swim slowly inside your uterus in the Liuka that is the water in the uterus. gradually it will kick you a lot . you can see the marks of your baby's leg outside the stomach.
my boy had kick me a lot when he was inside. it's a enjoyable and happiest one for every mother.

No. You may feel the uterus starting to move out of the pelvis, but the baby is smaller then a grain of rice at this point. Usually, what you feel at that point is bloating from the excess fluid she retains when she is pregnant.

Someonene other than the mother should be able to manipulate the baby and make him/her move and feel it close to the end of the 5th month.

laying on her abdomen won't harm the toddler. the toddler is unquestionably secure by all the amniotic fluid, its sort of like a secure bubble. the only ingredient that ought to break the toddler is that if the lady have been given a demanding blow to the tummy. yet i comprehend that as quickly as i replaced into that some distance into my being pregnant, laying on my abdomen replaced into very uncomfortable.
