HECK NO. SHE IS NOT OF THE ROYAL FAMILY, OR NOT THAT HIGHLY RANKED IN THE ROYAL FAMILY TO BE QUEEN. THE HUSBAND OF QUEEN ELIZABETH IS PRINCE PHILIP, NOT KING PHILIP, AND HE IS ALSO AS I UNDERSTAND A DUKE OF EDINBURGH I BELIEVE, SO MAYBE SHE WOULD GET A DUCHY BESTOWED UPON HER MAKING HER A DUCHESS. ALL OF THIS IS JUST AN EXERCISE IN FUTILITY AS SHE IS DEAD AND THE WOULD MAKE A DEAD PERSON THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND ANYWAY.

Because the question was asked in the past tense, "would, and has passed", I assume that the writer was asking a hypothetical, and therefore all of the people who are answering NO because she is dead, did not really understand the question. Had she lived she would not have become Queen when Elizabeth passed because she was divorced from Prince Charles. Had they remained married though, the title would have been given to her as a "courtesy title". The King is always the actual heir to the throne, which is why Prince Philip did not take the title King when he married Elizabeth, since she is the heir. Diana would though have been the Queen mother someday when her son became King. Even through a divorce, she remains William's mother. The world will never know Diana as anything other than a Princess.

No. Diana became part of the Spencer relatives. Queen Elizabeth's relatives secure Prince Charles, Prince Harry, Prince William, and the Duke. Princess Diana of Wales married Prince Charles.

I am sure you are somewhat confused. Princess Diana is dead and it is not possible for her to become Queen, plus the fact that Charles has remarried. Also don't forget that Diana had her titles removed when she divorced Charles, she was no longer Diana Princess of Wales. Dead Princesses do not become Queen. Camilla would have more chance of becoming Queen depending on what the arrangements were when Charles married her. You will have to wait and find out.

The "fairy tale" princess was brought into the royal family strickly to produce heirs to the throne. As I understand the way the royal line works, she would have the title queen when and if Charles suceeded his mother to the throne. But she would not be a "queen" the way Elizabeth is Queen, Think about it, Phillip did not become "King" when marrying Elisabeth. He was just there to make heirs to the throne with Elizabeth. The Royal bloodline only comes down through the actual descendent. Diana did her job of producing a future King of England and a back-up kid. Charles had some good sperm going for him. Two sons. Charles never loved Diana and she knew it. But that is the way things are done in a royal line. Had she not been a silly little twit, she would have looked the other way while Charles spent time with the woman he really loved, raised her sons and become the Queen Consort. She probably could have had all the lovers she wanted and been protected from the paparazzi by the might of the British throne. Instead, she acted like a love sick teenager and then went wild running around with the playboy kid of an Oil Rich Sheik. So she is dead, her ex is finally married to his love, her son is being groomed to rule Britian and she is missing out on all of it. She grew up in the UK and knew how things worked. So why did she get all upset when her arranged marriage wasn't a fairy tale?
No, pretty little Princess Di would never have been Queen of England. Even if she had done all the things she knew she was supposed to do and not been a wimp.

Dead people cannot become Queen and nor can princesses who are divored from the Heir to the Throne. I think that covers it as far as Diana is concerned.

no, just as queen Elizabeth's husband was not king, he remained prince - Charles would have been King, and Diana would have remained princess. It's the way the system works. Only the heir to the throne becomes the King or Queen, being married to them does not confer that status.

The person, MARRIED to the King, automatically, assumes the title of Queen, upon the accession, of her HUSBAND!
Officially, Prince Charles' CURRENT wife, - CAMILLA, - is, now, Princess of Wales, - but, does NOT USE the Title, - as she feels, that to DO so, would be OFFENSIVE, to the PEOPLE, of this Nation!
Well, - she GOT THAT RIGHT, at least! The majority, of the PEOPLE, of the United Kingdom will NEVER accept her, as Queen, - which COULD lead to another King's ABDICATION, - as there was, with EDWARD VIII, in 1936!
He had the COURAGE, to step aside, in favour of his BROTHER, - GEORGE VI, - but, HAS CHARLES got the BOTTLE, to do LIKEWISE, - in favour of HIS eldest SON????

And since Diana had divorced Prince Charles, she would not have been Queen Mother either, when Prince William succeeds to the throne.

Dead women don't get that title. Nor do women who are divorced from the King.
Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, as Prince Charles' wife, will get that title.
If, however, Queen Elizabeth's daughter were ascending to the throne, her husband would NOT get the title of King, but would instead be Prince Consort, as a King ALWAYS rules.
