To my understanding, there are no stupid questions. Only stupid answers from people who do not understand that people are eager to know about different things and the very fact of asking is a step in the right direction. By answering a question, we often learn something about a subject. I guess it all depends also on the individual's way of perception

It depends upon your purpose of asking the question.
If your pupose is stupidity, then it really is.
But if your intention is to learn something or get some information, definitely it is a GOOD question, no matter how stupid the question seemed to be.

No...it only shows the level of intelligence of the asker...it may be a stupid question to you..but to that person they honestly are asking a serious question...so not really. But "I" think there are a lot of stupid questions asked on here. But technically no question is stupid.
