after having an abortion had to have one for medical reasons 5 years ago hubby and I wanted to have another I heard you can have trouble getting pregnant after a procedure like that? Any serious advice would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks!

well to be honest with you and i dont talk about this much but i had to have an abortion when i first got pregnant becuase of different family issues but when i got pregnant again about a year ago everything went well for me now my lil one is 17 moths and in perfect condition but the best advice is to ask your doctor she what they have to say

i had an abortion about 3 years ago and i got pregnant first month i tried last year. Unfortunately for me the pregnancy was ectopic and obviously didnt go through but i see no reason why you would have any trouble getting pregnant in the future. Just relax and take it easy and im sure it will happen when you least it expect it to. Good Luck

My friend had an abortion and she became pregnant a year after that and had a very healthy baby girl.

A | There is no evidence of fertility or childbearing problems after on abortion. Having an abortion does not interfere with your ability to have children in the future.

THis may be long sorry but I have an answer. i lost 5 pregnancys..now i have a 11 mo old baby i found out i was pregnant in august but in june i lost my 5th pregnancy @ 13 weeks so i had one cycle and i got pregnant. and i was told i would never have children due to endom. and uterine problems. abortion is a d/c just like when u have a miscarriage a d/c is done so if this type of medical abortion was performed it doesnt lesson u chances of concieving.

I think you should be fine, everyone is different but my cousin has had probably 2 or 3 abortions because she was young and she also had an olvary removed because of ovarian cancer and the doctors told her to hve kids before she was 30 and she is now 18 weeks prego and everything is fine so far.so good luck and baby dust to you.!

Yeppers I have concived after having a late term abortion...I wasn't "trying" to get pregnant the 2nd time...I was on the pill at the time.

Provided your original procedure was performed correctly and there was no infection, then your fertility should have not been compromised at all.
You will most likey be perfectly fine.
