We had the biggest, ugliest, most embarrassing station wagon- a 1977 chevrolet impala. Sitting in the back seat was torture- it was very small and there was this weird metal "bump" that didvided the seats a little bit. Every time my mom stopped too fast or turned, whatever, whoever was in the back seat would be slammed into the bump.

My dad had it painted bright blue in Mexico (it was cheaper). In high school, we made our mom park behind the school so no one would notice.

When my dad finally sold it, I was about 25. I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but I sort of miss that huge wagon.

Yep, we had a station wagon. I had no siblings, and not for lack of Mom and Dad trying. I enjoyed stretching out in the back. It was fun!
