can anyone tell me what schools are really good (doesn't have to be all ivy league schools), not too expensive, and can be affordable without financial aid?? need help with colleges!!!! oh, and i have a A-, B+, rarely B average.

i also want to study performance in violin or history of art, or even both...

i also live in a pretty middle class family...i can't get loans either...i need help finding the right college!!!!

I recommend going to a local bookstore and going to the college section and look through the books on the different colleges. Peterson's, US News, and Barrons are pretty good in the information that you are looking for. Good luck.

have you considered Indiana University? it's a public university, has a great campus, one of the top music AND art schools in the country. If you can establish residency in Indiana, the tuition is affordable. I dont know what state you live in, but if you are on a tight budget, you should take a closer look at the public universities in your state.

If you want to study music, you might want to look at Ithaca College or Oberlin College.
