I think Panic! or Fall Out Boy would be pretty fun. Anything like Evanescence would be pretty hard.

It also depends on what you are doing. Is it something like singing or dancing??

Fall Out Boy or Panic! At The Disco if you are going to dance. I've done a dance to Sugar, We're Going Down, and people loved it. What style of dance would you do?

If you want to dance, I would suggest PATD just because I love their music, and a good deal of it could be acted out, in dance form if you had the imagination. If you want to sing, I wouldn't suggest it so much- they are pretty hard songs to sing, often requiring a backup vocal for multiple lines. Go with Evanescence for singing- My Immortal is a kareoke favorite.

im an expert in talent shows. so maybe you should start by picking a theme like im a candy shop seller or a hawaiian dancer etc. then you should look for the type of dancing you want to do like jazz,hip-hop,tap,lyrical etc. so when you have these steps done you pick the song!!! and then the only thing that is left to do is to make the dance and to get your costume!!! so that's how you should pick it!
