Plenty of water; 1/4 strength fertilizer; keep it in bright light, but NOT direct sunlight. Keep the area around it humid; if you see brown leaves (not mushy ones), then the humidity is too low. If you see mushy leaves or stems, then it's getting too much water (practically impossible with bamboo).

Enjoy!

not so difficult especially in a country where bamboo can easily be found everywhere. my neighbor planted that [but not in a pot] and he just use ordinary garden soil, water it everyday, and use organic fertilizer with 8-8-8 composition

Hi Repairman, no fun anymore answering YA Malaysia. They are fighting a never ending battle over there, and no more travel thing. So garden is more peaceful place

mine sits near a window, but i grow mine in water....hydroponics
its easier than soil growing. just add water as needed and make sure thers enough light
filtered light is good, like in front of mini blinds in window

I think it needs sun and water...I would place it outside in the yard dirt...not a pot. They are hard to kill. some species are small and pretty and edible. some are used to make furniture and many things.
